The Democracy Matrix is represented by the current members of the research team.

Administration and editing

Function identifier and personalized unique IDs with access protection mechanisms are created for administration and editing. Changes done with these IDs are recorded.

Log files

Depending on the access protocol and pages visited, some log files are transmitted via your internet browser to our web server. The following log files for the communication between your internet browser and our web server are recorded for the current connection:

• the browser and browser version visitors use, (if transmitted by the internet browser!),
• the operating system,
• the time and date of the server request,
• the number of visits,
• the duration of the visit on our homepage,
• the website visitors visited before, (if transmitted by the internet browser!),
• the IP address, encrpyted before storaged.

Log files are stored as encrypted backups and are deleted within 14 days.

Statistical programs use the log files for the analysis of the usage of our webpage. Analysis is only done by the usage of pseudonymised IP addresses. At the web server level, this happens by default by storing an IP address 123.123.123.XXX in the log file instead of the visitor's actual IP address, for example, 123.123.123.123. The "XXX" is a random value between 1 and 254, so it is no longer possible to establish the true identity of the visitor.

Our website analysis tool Matomo applies cookies to analyze the usage of our webpage. These cookies are deleted automatically after a pre-specified period.

Other

We reserve to modify our privacy policy if necessary ensuring the compliance with current legal requirement or for the implementation of changes of our webpage contents in the privacy statement (e.g. new services). For revisits apply the new privacy policy.
